Kilchoman 5 Years Old Sauternes Cask Finish 2018 Edition is a limited-edition single malt from Kilchoman, one of the newest distilleries on Islay. The farm distillery was established in 2005 on the north-west coast of the island. Kilchoman 5 Years Old Sauternes Cask Finish 2018 Edition is a vatting of thirty bourbon barrels that were laid down in 2012, and married in Sauternes wine casks for five months prior to bottling. The finishing has created an amazing balance between the sweet white grape influence of the Sauternes casks and Kilchoman’s characteristic mixed fruit and peat smoke flavours.
