Kurayoshi Matsui 18 Years Old is a limited-edition blended malt from the Kurayoshi distillery, released in 2018 as a Travel Retail Exclusive. The whisky is a blend of Scotch and Japanese malts, aged in white oak barrels in Japan and bottled at 50%. The stunning label and box depict Japanese cranes with Mount Fuji in the background. Kurayoshi is a small whisky distillery, located at the foot of Mount Daisen in the Tottori Prefecture. It is part of the Matsui Shuzo brewery, which was founded in 1910 and produces sake and shochu. The distillery sources crystal clear water from Mount Daisen, and ages its whisky in rare Mizunara (Japanese oak) and Sakura (cherry wood) barrels.
