Ladyburn 43 Years Old Blackadder Raw Cask Statement 1973 is a rare single cask whisky from Ladyburn, a small Lowland distillery that operated for a couple of years on the site of the larger grain distillery Girvan. Ladyburn was not so much its own separate distillery as a pair of stills within the Grant complex, meaning that when it was shut down only 9 years after its founding, it didn’t leave many traces except for a few barrels of whisky. Ladyburn 43 Years Old Blackadder Raw Cask Statement 1973 was bottled by Blackadder as part of the popular Raw Cask series, featuring exceptional whiskies that are drawn straight from the cask and therefore retain all their natural cask sediments as well as natural oils and fats. The single malt was distilled on 28th September 1973 and matured for 43 years in a single oak cask. It was bottled in October 2016 at a cask strength of 41.5%. One of 140 individually numbered bottles.
