Lagavulin Distillers Edition 2012 is a special double matured release from Lagavulin, bottled for the award-winning Distillers Edition range. The single malt was distilled in 1996 and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, before being bottled in 2012 at 43%. The result is a robust and complex Islay malt, Lagavulin’s characteristic notes of peat smoke and sea spray perfectly matched by the sweet accents of sun-dried grapes derived from the sherry wood.
