Bottled exclusively for Exquisite store which is located inside Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, this whisky was triple matured, first in ex-bourbon barrels, then quarter casks and lastly into ex-Oloroso sherry butts for the sweet sherry finish. On the nose you’ll find iodine, vanilla, stewed berries with cinnamon and a little bit of salty sea breeze. The palate shows peat, oak and black pepper with the sweet berries returning. The finish is long with wood spice, peat and the seaside saltiness we love from Laphroaig. This is a limited run of 1400 bottles so grab one before they all fly away.
