In 1994, The Friends of Laphroaig was established. Members of this exclusive club get a variety of benefits, including an honorary lifetime lease of one square foot of Laphroaig land on Islay. Laphroaig 21 Years Old Friends Of Laphroaig 1993 was released in 2015 to celebrate the club’s 21st anniversary. This special single malt matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. Part of these had their staves fully air-dried, resulting in complex and well-balanced flavours with an added wave of spice.
