Littlemill 19 Years Old Old & Rare 1990 is a rare single cask malt from the closed Lowland distillery Littlemill. The whisky was distilled in March 1990 and matured for 19 years. It was bottled in March 2009 at a cask strength of 55.4%. Littlemill 19 Years Old Old & Rare 1990 was released by renowned independent bottler Douglas Laing as part of the Old & Rare range. The bottle comes in an elegant wooden box. Littlemill was the first and oldest licensed whisky distillery in Scotland. It was founded in 1772 on the border of the Lowlands and the Highlands. The distillery finally closed down in 1994 after its owners went bankrupt. The buildings were dismantled in 1997, and what was left burned down in 2004. Littlemill’s private cellar is now in the hands of the Loch Lomond distillery. Only 333 bottles of Littlemill 19 Years Old Old & Rare 1990 have been released.
