Littlemill 1975-1999 is a rare single malt bottling from Littlemill. The Lowland distillery closed in 1992, and official bottlings like this one are extremely rare. The whisky was distilled in 1975 and matured for more than 23 years, before being bottled in August 1999 at 40% ABV. Littlemill was the first and oldest licensed whisky distillery in Scotland. It was founded in 1772 on the border of the Lowlands and the Highlands. The distillery finally closed down in 1994 after its owners went bankrupt. The buildings were dismantled in 1997, and what was left burned down in 2004. Littlemill’s private cellar is now in the hands of the Loch Lomond distillery.
