Littlemill 23 Years Old Tony Koehl Series 1990 is the fourth and final bottling in the Creative Whisky Company’s Tony Koehl Series, whose labels feature artwork by the American artist Tony Koehl. The whisky was distilled on 20 December 1990 and matured in cask #36 for 23 years. It was bottled in March 2014 at a cask strength of 55.2%. Littlemill was the first and oldest licensed whisky distillery in Scotland. It was founded in 1772 on the border of the Lowlands and the Highlands. The distillery finally closed down in 1994 after its owners went bankrupt. The buildings were dismantled in 1997, and what was left burned down in 2004. Littlemill’s private cellar is now in the hands of the Loch Lomond distillery. It is rumored that only very few barrels of stock remain… Only 176 bottles of Littlemill 23 Years Old Tony Koehl Series 1990 have been released.
