Littlemill Batch 1 That Boutique-y Whisky Company is TBWC’s first single malt release from this closed Lowland distillery. Littlemill is the oldest licensed whisky distillery in Scotland. It has roots tracing back to the 18th century, when an old brewery was converted into a distillery. It was mothballed in 1994, and demolished in 2006. Littlemill Batch 1 That Boutique-y Whisky Company was bottled in 2014 at 47.4%. On the nose, expect aromas of chocolate-covered biscuits, vanilla cream, apricot, icing sugar and a touch of blackcurrant. The palate has a creamy mouthfeel with vanilla and oak spice, followed by delicate earthy notes on the finish. On the label, Littlemill collector Menno Bijmolt is desperately trying to stop some interested customers from buying his treasured bottles. Only 151 bottles have been released.
