Longmorn 14 Years Old 2005 Gordon & Macphail is a single malt from the Speyside distillery Longmorn. The whisky was distilled in 2005 and matured in a combination of first-fill sherry hogsheads and refill bourbon casks for 14 years. It was bottled in 2019 by the renowned independent bottler Gordon & Macphail for their Distillery Labels series, showcasing distilleries’ vintage bottle labels. The Longmorn distillery was founded in 1983 by John Duff & Company and started production a year later. John Duff bought out his partners in 1897 and built a second distillery called ‘Longmorn Number 2’ (now known as BenRiach). He went bankrupt not long after and James R. Grant, owner of the Glen Grant distillery, acquired the shares. The Longmorn distillery is currently in the ownership of Chivas Brothers (Pernod Ricard).
