Longmorn 43 Years Old Gordon & MacPhail Reserve 1968 Cask #909 is a limited-edition single malt bottled by Gordon & MacPhail exclusively for Dutch importer van Wees. The whisky was distilled on 15 February 1968 and matured for 43 years in first-fill sherry butt #909. It was bottled in June 2011 at a cask strength of 55.4%. The nose opens with notes of ripe coconut. Hints of exotic fruits then emerge—pineapple and delicate lime zest with a light sherry sweetness. The palate is warming, revealing a burst of mixed spices, tropical fruit, sherry sweetness and a hint of coconut. The finish is long and fruity. One of 523 bottles.
