Longrow, Springbank’s heavily peated and double distilled malt, was first produced in 1973 to provide a peaty, oily and robust component to blends. A 10-year-old Longrow was launched in 1985, and the whisky has since become popular as a single malt. The beloved 18-year-old expression is a staple of the Longrow range. It was added to the distillery’s core range in 2011, but saw an initial limited-edition release in 2008. This Longrow 18 Years Old First Release is part of that very first release, which consisted of just 2100 bottles and is increasingly difficult to find.
