Lous Mouracs 27 Years Old L’Encantada Journal des Kirsch 1996 is an exceptional single cask armagnac from Domaine Lous Mouracs, the first release in German importer Kirsch’s new series ‘Journal des Kirsch’. Inspired by the adventure stories of the historic ‘Journal des Romans Populaires Illustrés’, the series offers exciting cognac, armagnac, calvados and rum bottlings with artistic vintage-style labels. The small estate of Lous Mouracs is located in Armagnac-Ténarèze, but the soils are closer to Bas-Armagnac than typical Ténarèze. Lous Mouracs means ‘the wetlands’ in the Gascon dialect, referring to the domaine’s location. Lous Mouracs 27 Years Old L’Encantada Journal des Kirsch 1996 was distilled in 1996 and matured for 27 years in a single French oak cask. It was bottled in 2023 at 52.7%. One of 264 bottles.
