Macallan 27 Years Old Speymalt Gordon & MacPhail 1997 is an exceptional single cask whisky from Macallan, bottled exclusively for La Maison du Whisky. The single malt was distilled in 1997 and matured for 27 years in a refill sherry hogshead. It was bottled in 2024 at 59.7%. This classic old-style Macallan is rich and elegantly sherried. The nose offers aromas of dried fruits, walnuts, orange peel, roasted coffee beans, white pepper and clove. Dark chocolate and caramel on the palate lead to roasted almonds, Seville oranges, walnuts, honey, cinnamon and a hint of oak. The finish is long with hints of honey, pepper and oak. Only 140 bottles of Macallan 27 Years Old Speymalt Gordon & MacPhail 1997 have been released.
