The Macallan Rich Cacao is the amazing first release in the Speyside distillery’s annual Harmony Collection. This exceptionally rich single malt whisky is characterized by its deep, dark chocolate profile. It was made in collaboration with Jordi Roca, pastry chef at El Celler de Can Roca, a Catalonian restaurant in Gerona, which is run by the three Roca Brothers. The Macallan Rich Cacao matured in sherry seasoned European and American Oak casks and is presented in a 100% recyclable gift box, made using discarded husks from cacao pods. These cacao pods are leftovers that are normally discarded as a byproduct during the chocolate-making process. You gotta love that extra touch!
