These days Macallan is one of the most famous single malt brands in the world, but for a lot of its history it primarily produced whisky for blends. That was until the 1980s when the decision was taken to start putting more focus on their single malts. Their long partnership with Gordon and Macphail has resulted in some incredible releases over the years. This particular release was distilled back in 1999 and aged in single cask #12385 before being bottled up by Gordon and Macphail. Macallan Speymalt Gordon & Macphail 1999-2021 has a nose of sherry, orange and fruitcake while the palate shows toffee, toasted oak, spice and nuts.
