Mackmyra Preludium 01 is the first official bottling from Mackmyra, the first ever single malt whisky distillery in Sweden. Preludium:01 is made from the first barrels from Mackmyra’s pilot distillery, as well as the first barrels from their new distillery, which opened in 2002. The whisky was bottled in February 2006 at a cask strength of 55.6%. Preludium, also known as The First Few Drops, launched in 2006 with a limited release of 9600 bottles – it sold out in less than 20 minutes! The idea for the Mackmyra Distillery arose when, in 1998, a group of friends wondered why there weren’t any whisky distilleries in Sweden. They took it upon themselves to change that, and by 1999 production had started at their small pilot distillery. The full-fledged Mackmyra Bruk distillery opened in 2002. In 2011, the company moved to a larger distillery about 10 kilometers away from its original location.

Safe packing
