Marolo 7 Years Old Solera Grappa di Barolo

Marolo 7 Years Old Solera Grappa di Barolo is an artisanal Italian grappa made at the Santa Teresa distillery in Alba. It has been distilled using Nebbiolo grape skins from the prestigious Barolo vineyards, and matured according to the traditional Solera system. In this continuous ageing system, made up of layers of casks, a part of the oldest grappa is bottled each year and then replenished with grappa from the layer above. The result is a rare blend of exceptional quality and balance. Therefore the youngest grappa in Marolo 7 Years Old Solera Grappa di Barolo is at least 7 years old, but the blend also contains much older distillates. The grappa is fruity and complex with delicious notes of plums, raisins, caramel, roasted almonds and dark chocolate.
