The McCormick Distilling Company is a distillery and alcoholic beverage importing company based in Weston, Missouri. It was founded in 1856 as the Holladay Distillery by brothers Ben and David Holladay. The company became known as McCormick when then-owner Isadore Singer purchased the brand name from a neighbouring plant in 1942. In 1985, the distillery ceased the production of bourbon to focus on different kinds of spirits. Business partners Ed Pechar and Mike Griesser took over and expanded the McCormick Distilling Company in 1992, and in 2016 the distillery returned to the Holladay name and once again began producing bourbon following a 30-year hiatus. This vintage bottle of McCormick Signature X Missouri Sour Mash was bottled at 86 proof in or around 1989.
