Since 2019, Midleton Very Rare comes in a luxurious wooden display case and a new glass decanter. In that sense, it breaks with the tradition of the earlier releases. When it comes down to the taste, it is exaclty as good as you might expect from ‘the pinnacle of Irish Whiskey’. The Irish Midleton Distillery was built after a merge of three smaller Irish distilleries in 1966. Since 1975, a great variety of brands have been made there, including this jewel. The Very Rare range was created in 1984 by master distiller emeritus Barry Crockett. There are three things certain in life: death, taxes and a yearly release of Midleton very rare. Please note: due to the size, it takes up two spaces in a parcel.
