Most of Miltonduff’s production is used up in blends, so this independent single malt bottling is a rare sight! After a 34-year maturation in a refill sherry cask, Miltonduff 34 Years Old Scotia Royale 1978 was bottled at 54.2% by independent bottler Scotia Royale. Only 376 bottles were released. Scotia Royale was once a blended whisky produced by A. Gillie & Co. The brand was discontinued in the 1980s, and revived in 2012 by Loch Lomond Distillers as an independent bottling label. Scotia Royale was sold just a few years later and the new owners decided to focus on blends again, so only a couple of these single malt bottlings exist.
