Monymusk 23 Years Old Rest & Be Thankful Rum 1998

The Scottish bottlers Rest and be Thankful were originally in the whisky game, bottling up fine drams for us to enjoy. But more recently they’ve branched out into rum bottlings as well. And by coincidence, there’s actually a spot in Jamaica also called Rest and be Thankful. How cool! The Scottish Rest and Be Thankful name comes from a stone inscription made by a soldier who was building the old military road up North. It’s rough country up there and at the highest point, travellers used to stop for a rest, hence the name. We’ve got a lot to be thankful for here with Monymusk 23 Years Old Rest & Be Thankful Rum 1998. It was aged for 23 years in cask 13258 before being bottled at cask strength with no additives and unchill filtered. This cask only yielded 197 bottles. So don’t rest for too long or you’ll miss out!
