This premium bottling of Nikka’s popular Tsuru blend comes in an elegant glass decanter. Tsuru, Japanese for ‘crane’, is one of the very last whiskies that Nikka founder Masataka Taketsuru worked on himself. The blend was a mainstay of Nikka’s core range for many years, but was unfortunately discontinued a couple of years ago. Nikka Tsuru 17 Years Old is a complex and refined blend. The whisky has a mellow texture, making it easy to drink. It has a fresh and floral nose with aromas of gentle fruit, caramelized vanilla, oak spice and light smoke. The palate is smooth and well-balanced with notes of sweet cereal, vanilla, light fruits, sandalwood, ginger and pepper, and a medium to long finish with hints of vanilla, wood, leather, cocoa and light smoke.
