North British 33 Years Old First Editions 1988 is a rare single cask grain whisky from the North British distillery in Edinburgh. The single grain whisky was distilled in 1988 and matured for 33 years in a refill hogshead. It was bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 48.9%. The First Editions series from independent bottler Edition Spirits (now part of Hunter Laing) features rare and unique single barrel expressions. Each cask in the series is carefully selected to evoke the qualities of a rare literary volume—those of character and collectability. North British 33 Years Old First Editions 1988 has a beautifully sweet nose of honey, vanilla and coconut. A creamy, luxurious palate with notes of coconut, fudge and a touch of papaya leads into a long, sweet and gentle finish. One of 157 bottles.
