In the early 1990s, the Japanese distillery Ocean Sanraku, that used Karuizawa whisky for their blends (for real!), decided it was a good idea to start selling whisky in milk cartons. It reduced production costs and on top of that, they could sell their cheap stuff even cheaper! This race to rock bottom did not catch on and production was quickly shut down. This is the 1000ml version of this rare and bizarre Ocean Karuizawa Whisky Milk Box. Is it ugly? Hell yeah. Does it taste awful? Very likely. Is it one of the most obscure, cool whisky items on this website? Bet your sweet behind it is!
