A beautiful Half Gallon of Old Crow Kentucky Straight Bourbon bottled in 1969 at 86 proof. The US gallon was replaced by the metric liter in 1976, meaning this bottle still uses the old measurement system. The obsolete half gallon is about 1.89L, while the present-day half gallon is 1.75L. Moreover, the Italian import version of this bottle states it contains 1.94L. Confusing, we know. In the 1960s, the immensely popular Old Crow enlarged their distillery, but in the process accidentally changed the sour mash distilling conditions. This led to a change in the final bourbon’s flavor. It took years to correct the mistake. This is some of the last bourbon distilled before the incident, meaning it is supercalifragilisticexpialidociously good! Please note: due to the size of this Old Crow 1969 Half Gallon, it takes up 3 spaces in a parcel.
