Each year on September 2nd, Brown-Forman releases the Old Forester Birthday Bourbon in honor of the birthday of Brown-Forman founder George Garvin Brown. The annual expression was introduced in 2002. The 2017 edition is a 12-year-old bourbon that was distilled on 27 May 2005. 120 barrels were filled in total, with 93 of them aging on the 4th floor of Warehouse G, and the other 27 on the 5th floor of Warehouse K. The bourbon was bottled at 96 proof.
