Old Forester Bourbon Japanese Export is a vintage bourbon distilled at the Brown-Forman Distillery. It was bottled at 86 proof and exported for the Japanese market. You might have noticed that the bottle says ‘whisky’ instead of the more common American spelling ‘whiskey’. When Brown-Forman founder George Garvin Brown created Old Forester, he decided to call it a ‘Straight Bourbon Whisky’ to honor his Scottish roots. This makes Old Forester one of the few bourbon brands to write whisky without the ‘e’. The more you know!
