A vintage bottle of Old Grand-Dad 114 Barrel Proof, bottled in the 1980s and exported for the German market. Old Grand-Dad was created by Raymond B. Hayden in the late 19th century. He named the brand after his grandfather Meredith Basil Hayden Sr., a well-known distiller in the 18th century, known as the ‘Father of High Rye Bourbon’. The unmistakable portrait of Basil Hayden Sr. is depicted on each bottle. Old Grand-Dad was produced by National Distillers at the Old Grand-Dad Distillery until 1987, when Jim Beam purchased the brand and moved production to their Beam distillery. The Old Grand-Dad site is silent now, operating only as a warehouse facility. Please note: this release has a lower filling than others. It does not come with the original tube.
