Old Quaker 4 Years Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a vintage bottle of Old Quaker, a historic bourbon brand. The bourbon was distilled in Indiana, and aged for 4 years before being bottled at 86 proof. Schenley set up the Old Quaker Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana at the end of Prohibition. The distillery was originally founded in 1867. It produced industrial alcohol for the First World War and ceased operations in January 1920 due to Prohibition. Schenley expanded the Lawrenceburg distillery in the 1930s and it became one of the company’s largest distilleries, with Old Quaker being the flagship brand. The distillery was shut down in the late 1980s, and is now owned by MGP who use it for warehousing and bottling.
