A near mythical 7-year-old 107 proof Old Weller that was actually made at Stitzel-Weller! You don’t see 4/5 quart editions these very often, or any other for that matter… This Old Weller was bottled in 1975, according to the code underneath the bottle. It was distilled when Pappy Van Winke’s son was running the show. Old Weller was released in squat bottles like this one for decades, until Buffalo Trace modernized the brand and started using more slender bottles. This is the chased after ‘gold vein’ edition (also seen with Old Fitzgerald bottles, among others that were distilled by Stitzel-Weller). It gets the name from the gold veins that run through the glass. This Old Weller 107 Proof 1975 Stitzel-Weller comes with the original see-through plastic display box.
