In September 2000, Heaven Hill’s Master Distillers crafted a wheat whiskey – the first new style of American whiskey introduced since Prohibition. This would later be bottled as Bernheim Original Straight Wheat Whiskey. For the 8th edition of the Parker’s Heritage Collection, dedicated to sixth-generation Master Distiller Parker Beam, Heaven Hill has bottled a small portion of the very first batch of this wheat whiskey. The whiskey is made with 51% soft winter wheat, 39% corn and 10% barley. It aged for 13 years on the top floors of Rickhouse Y in Heaven Hill’s Bardstown warehouse, and was bottled in 2014 at a cask strength of 127.4 proof. Parker’s Heritage Collection 13 Years Old 8th Edition has a smooth, round flavor profile and a gentle finish.
Please note: 127.4 Proof.
