Plantation Extreme No. 4 Guyana Rum is a rare vintage rum from the legendary Uitvlugt Distillery in Guyana, which closed in 2000. It’s part of the fourth Plantation Extrême collection from the French bottler Plantation Rum, released in 2020. The rum was distilled in 1993 and first matured for 8 years in ex-bourbon casks in the tropics. After being transported to France, the rum aged for 15,5 years in whisky casks and another 3,5 years in Ferrand French oak casks. It was bottled in 2020 at 51.9%, having matured for a total of 27 years. The colorful label is part of a panoramic artwork depicting rum merchants traveling from the Caribbean to Europe. If you collect all the bottles, you’ll have the entire painting!
