Plantation was the brainchild of cognac and rum entrepreneur Alexandre Gabriel who has built up great partnerships with a range of distillers across the world to bring us the very finest spirits. Plantation searches the great tropical terroirs for those special barrels that then go into their artisanal range of rums. Just like this Plantation Rum 15 Years Old Jamaica 2007 from Plantation’s Under the Sea series. This rum was distilled in 2007 in a Vendome pot-still. Then it was aged for 13 years in Lionel Town, Jamaica before 2 years of Continental ageing in Javrezac, France in ex-Ferrand casks. It has a nose of banana, vanilla, orange, tar and a little sea-spray. The palate shows ripe tropical fruits like guava and rockmelon. The finish has licorice, cinnamon and a fresh minty twist.
