Port Askaig is nestled on the east coast of Islay and the Port Askaig range of whiskies displays the essence of the Islay region. This Port Askaig 28 Years Old is bottled by Elixir Distillers from a batch of refill American oak hogsheads distilled at an undisclosed Islay distillery. The nose has a medicinal note with fresh pine, mint and tropical fruits like lychee, guava and pineapple. The palate is full bodied and oily with bacon, orange peel, baked custard tarts and lavender. The finish is smoky with rosemary, licorice and a burst of menthol. Please note: it takes up two spaces in a parcel.
