Single Pot Still is a commonly used Irish whiskey distillery method, for which a combination of malted and unmalted barley is distilled in a pot still at a single distillery – in this case the New Midleton Distillery in County Cork. Redbreast was a well-known brand at the distillery before it was discontinued in 1985. It was then sold to Irish Distillers, which relaunched the brand in 1991. This 27-year-old Redbreast Single Pot Still, bottled in 2019, was one of the first whiskeys distilled after the relaunch. It was finished in Ruby Port casks and released in March 2020. This is Batch B1/19. Please note: due to the size of this bottle, it takes up two spots in a parcel.
