Rhum Rhum PMG Rhum Blanc Agricole is a white rhum agricole produced by Rhum Rhum on Marie-Galante, one of the islands of Guadeloupe. The rum is made with sugarcane grown on the island in the traditional way, and is bottled at an accessible 41%. The idea for Rhum Rhum came to Velier’s Luca Gargano in 2004. Wishing to create a new type of rhum agricole, he teamed up with master distiller Gianni Capovilla and installed a still at the Bielle distillery in Marie-Galante. A second still was added in 2007, and in 2008 the first bottle of Rhum Rhum PMG Rhum Blanc Agricole was released. Rhum Rhum PMG Rhum Blanc Agricole has a fresh and floral nose with aromas of citrus fruits, heady flowers and some pepper. The palate is sweet and light with notes of fresh pear and apple, sugarcane, coconut milk, flowers and pepper. The finish is long with pear, fresh herbs, lime and sweet spices.
