A limited-edition single malt from the closed Rosebank distillery, bottled by independent bottler Signatory Vintage for the Vintage Collection. In a metal tube that is as cute as it is fantastic! If you don’t say ‘awwww’ when looking at this 350ml cutie-patootie, your heart is made of stone. Signatory Vintage was established in 1988 by Andrew and Bryan Symington. The original idea was that each bottle would be signed by a famous name in the whisky industry, hence the ‘signatory’. They never went through with that plan, but the name stuck. The Rosebank distillery in the Scottish Lowlands was founded at the end of the 18th century and changed locations several times in its turbulent history. Rosebank was once one of the most popular lowland whiskies, but in 1993 the distillery was mothballed, making bottlings of this single malt extremely rare. In 2017 Diageo sold the Rosebank brand to Ian Macleod Distillers, who plan to reopen the distillery in 2022. This Rosebank 12 Years Old Signatory Vintage 350ml 1991 was distilled on 27 November 1991 and matured in bourbon barrels #4700-02 for 12 years. It was bottled on 5 February 2004 at 43% ABV.
