Indie bottler Jack Tar is back with a collectible series of Japanese blended malts from Toa Shuzo Co., owners of the legendary Hanyu distillery. Sanmi-Ittai is a Japanese translation of the Latin word Trinitas, referring to the three founders of the now-closed distillery. Sanmi-Ittai Shikiri was bottled in 2022 at 56.9%. Just 299 bottles were drawn from sherry cask #55009, divided over three labels with a sumo theme. This bottling features shikiri, the preparation time before a bout during which the wrestlers stare each other down to gain a psychological advantage.
