Savanna is a rum distillery in the French overseas department of Réunion, an island near Madagascar. It was founded in 1870 in Saint-Paul, on the west coast of the island. In 1992, the distillery was moved to the site of the Bois-Rouge sugar factory on the north-east of the island. Every part of the process happens on-site, from harvesting the sugarcane to bottling the rum. The Wild Island Edition series highlights the natural beauty of Réunion. Savanna 13 Years Old The Wild Island Edition Wave 2006 is a traditional molasses rum. It matured in the tropics for 13 years in ex-Cognac and ex-Calvados casks, and saw a limited release of 720 bottles in 2021.
