Secret Speyside is a specially curated selection of whiskies from the Speyside region that brings together rare malts from hidden distilleries. This one is from an undisclosed distillery and was aged for 30 years in Refill Hogshead Twj-Gl-1990. It has a nose of wax and honey along with unripe tropical fruits, vanilla and oak. The palate is a bouquet of red fruits, mangoes, apricots and passionfruit with a creamy mouthfeel and clove, cinnamon and pepper spices. The finish is warm and woody. Don’t tell too many people though, with only 159 bottles produced you’ll have to nab a bottle before the word gets out!
