San Francisco-based micro brewery and distillery Seven Stills has made a name with whiskeys distilled from beer. Let’s say that again: whiskey made from beer. The Chocasmoke Los Pechos de la Choca is made from chocolate oatmeal stout (typing those words alone makes us thirsty…) and peat-smoked malted barley. After that it is also aged in small barrels for six months. This is one artisan craft whiskey that will make your mouth water. The label was designed by Zio Ziegler for the Twin Peaks of San Francisco. These Twin Peaks are two round hills of similar hight in the geographical center of San Fransisco. They were first called ‘los pechos de la choca’. If you don’t speak Spanish, you can either translate it to figure out why the woman on the label is bare breasted, but surely, with a bit of imagination you’ll make the connection.
