Shizuoka Distillery is doing incredible work at the forefront of the Japanese craft whisky industry and after the exciting release of its Prologue K Single Malt, we are very excited to welcome the Shizuoka Prologue W. With its commitment to using local Japanese produce, the Distillery draws its water from the Abe Nakagawachi River and a large percentage of local barley is used in the production. The pot still used to distill the whisky for the Shizuoka Prologue W is unique for being one of the only firewood heated pot stills in the world, and the whisky is aged in first-fill bourbon casks resulting in a drink that is sweet but tinged with a light smoky quality. The nose is characterised by stone fruits, citrus, honey, cinnamon and cardamom. The palate has a rounded oak, vanilla and honey flavour while the finish is oaky, vanillary and spicy.

Safe packing
