The Singleton of Glendullan 19 Years Old Diageo Special Releases 2021 is a rich malt with a velvety texture. It has sweet aromas of dried fig, apricot, orange zest, marzipan and vanilla cake, as well as some savoury hints of nutmeg and ginger. The whisky initially matured in American oak casks. It was then finished in cognac casks and bottled at a cask strength of 54.6%. The theme for the 2021 edition of the highly-anticipated annual Diageo Special Releases is Legends Untold. Every bottle is connected to a mythical creature and tells a legendary story about the distillery. The stunning labels and tubes are designed by renowned digital illustrator Ken Taylor. And as if that wasn’t cool enough already, each whisky’s story is brought to life with a unique augmented reality experience, accessible through a QR code on the bottle. The legend of The Siren’s Song has it that a sea creature lives in the River Dullen, whose song of honeyed sweetness gives Glendullan its smooth and melodious nature.
