Speyside (GL) 16 Years Old Signatory Vintage Exceptional Cask 100 Proof Edition 7 is a limited-edition single malt from a mysterious Speyside distillery (referred to only as ‘GL’), released by renowned independent bottler Signatory Vintage as part of the popular 100 Proof series. The single malt matured for 16 years in first-fill Oloroso sherry hogsheads and was bottled in 2024 at 57.1% ABV, or 100 proof in the obsolete British imperial system. Speyside (GL) 16 Years Old Signatory Vintage Exceptional Cask 100 Proof Edition 7 is a complex and rich sherried dram, with layers of dark fruits complemented by caramel, dark chocolate, old leather, pipe tobacco, roasted walnuts, and subtle spices of cinnamon and nutmeg.
