Springbank 10 Years Old Local Barley is a 100% Campbeltown single malt. The barley for this release was grown locally at Glencraigs Farm, and then malted on Springbank’s own traditional malting floor. The whisky was distilled in May 2011 and aged for 10 years in classic bourbon casks, before being bottled in December 2021 at 51.6%. Springbank 10 Years Old Local Barley has a delicate nose with hints of digestive biscuits and cereal. The bourbon influence shows in notes of vanilla custard and custard creams, developing into a fruity, cherry layer. Vanilla develops on the palate into flavours of sweet, creamy Victoria sponge, joined by hints of honey, syrup and fresh barley water. 15000 bottles of Springbank 10 Years Old Local Barley were released in early 2022.
