Springbank 13 Years Old Vintage 1997 is a rare single cask bottling from Springbank, bottled exclusively for Sweden. The single malt was distilled in June 1997 and matured in Madeira cask #178. It was bottled in August 2010 at 57.4%. The full flavours from the Madeira cask combine with the whisky’s natural character to create a particularly delicate and complex Springbank. Lots of tropical fruits are followed by sweet vanilla, meringue, stewed pears, raisins and a little liquorice. Some nice ground spices complement the abundant sweetness. Only 702 bottles of Springbank 13 Years Old Vintage 1997 were released.
