Springbank 23 Years Old Calvert Woodley 1996 is a single cask Springbank whisky, bottled by Calvert Woodley for the Single Cask Distillery Collection. The whisky was distilled on 20 March 1996 and matured for 23 years in refill sherry cask #156. It was bottled in 2019 at 42.5%. Springbank is one of the three remaining distilleries in Campbeltown, which was once one of the most prolific whisky distilling areas of Scotland. It was founded in 1828 by the Mitchell family, who had been living in the region since the 17th century. Descendants of the Mitchell family still own the distillery today, making Springbank the oldest family-owned distillery in Scotland. Only 408 bottles of Springbank 23 Years Old Calvert Woodley 1996 have been released.
