This 11 year old single malt was made from local barley. The Springbank distillery is located in Campeltown, on the Kintyre peninsula, Scotland, just like the Aros Farm. At that farm, they grow the Bere Barley used for this expression. This second release in a range of five was produced to revive the now legendary range of vintage barley whiskies that Springbank made in de nineties. Please note: do not confuse this dram with Local Barney, who is the town drunk of Campeltown. He tries to steal Springbank whisky barrels at night, but never succeeds. Go home Local Barney, you drunk.
